City Council unanimously approved a major addition of open space property for the Trails, Open Space and Parks (TOPS) Program. The 1,118-acre "Wild Horse Ranch" property is located in the Corral Bluffs Candidate Open Space on the city’s eastside. The property unlocks several significant connections, including between Corral Bluffs and Bluestem Prairie open spaces. 

For the South Academy Boulevard Improvements Project, S Academy Blvd btwn Platte Ave and Airport Rd will be reduced to 1 lane for approx 5 weeks for underground utility work. There will also be daytime lane closures on S Academy Blvd btwn Fountain Blvd and Jet Wing Dr.

The Colorado Springs Police Department and SCHEELS have teamed up to give all of the 1,450 players registered to play soccer through the City’s sports office this spring their very own soccer ball. Throughout March, officers will visit practice locations citywide to deliver the balls and spend time with the kids.

The City asks residents to offer their feedback on possible names for the new Colorado Springs Senior Center. A survey with possible names is open through March 24. The City’s project team will consider the public’s feedback before it makes a final determination on the name.
