Colorado Springs Fire Chief Ted Collas will retire on March 5, 2021, the City announced today. Collas has served as chief since 2016 and joined the Colorado Springs Fire Department in 1985.

Colorado Springs’ second Signature Street after Tejon Street is now open to the public. Vermijo Street, between Cascade Avenue and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum, and Sierra Madre between Cimarron and Colorado avenues are open for foot, vehicle and bicycle traffic.
