Facilitated community stakeholder meeting to discuss activation, stewardship and safety ahead of the grand reopening of Panorama Park this summer.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department, along with project partners The Trust for Public Land (TPL), RISE | Southeast Colorado Springs, and El Paso County Public Health, is hosting a series of facilitated community stakeholder meetings to discuss activation, stewardship and safety ahead of the grand reopening of Panorama Park.
The park is located in southeast Colorado Springs near the intersection of Jet Wing Drive and Chelton Road. Panorama is currently undergoing the largest neighborhood park renovation in city history. It is expected to open this summer.
The meetings will be held March 11, April 8 and May 13 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Carmel Community School (1740 Pepperwood Drive). A virtual attendance option is also available.
Since Panorama was identified as a renovation site in 2019, the project has been a highly collaborative community process. TPL has led the community engagement strategy, allowing the community to help inform the park’s design, usage, programming and more.
