Funding and support available for Colorado Springs small businesses

Applications are open now for the Survive and Thrive: Accelerate COS – Small Business Loan Fund program. Exponential Impact (XI), in partnership with the City of Colorado Springs will provide loans, along with mentorship and learning opportunities through the Survive and Thrive program.

“We are thrilled to continue partnering with Exponential Impact on the Survive and Thrive: Accelerate COS program. This program offers a unique opportunity for small businesses in our community to gain access to capital, education, and mentoring to help them grow their businesses” said Shawna Lippert, Senior Economic Development Specialist at the City of Colorado Springs.

Small businesses based in Colorado Springs are eligible to apply for Survive and Thrive: Accelerate COS. Startups without documented revenue are eligible to apply for a micro loan up to $10,000, and established small businesses are eligible to apply for a growth loan up to $50,000. These non-traditional loans are low interest and do not require collateral. Along with funding, businesses participating in the program will benefit from access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and in-person skill-building workshops.

“We are grateful for the City of Colorado Springs continued partnership and support of Exponential Impact. The funding and partnership empowers XI to advance the Survive and Thrive program to support our small business community. We encourage all small businesses looking for the last boost to help accelerate their business to apply for Survive and Thrive” said Vance Brown, Executive Director of Exponential Impact.

A past participant of Survive and Thrive said, “the Survive and Thrive loan not only provided the much needed financial boost to get to the next level and sustain through challenging times, but we were connected with resources and relationships we will lean on into the future! We solved real problems during the course that we were spinning our wheels on before!”

The City of Colorado Springs is financially supporting this endeavor through its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation with $1.5 million in funding. Survive and Thrive is also supported at a federal and state level, through the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade’s Colorado Startup Loan Fund and the US Economic Development Administration.

Applications for Survive and Thrive: Accelerate COS will be open from November 1 to December 1. An information and help session will be offered for applicants on November 30.  Interested businesses can learn more about the program, look at eligibility requirements, sign up for the information session, ask questions, and apply at exponentialimpact.com/surviveandthrive.
