Police Administrative Services Manager  Sue Autry

Current Assignment: Management Services Division

Biographical Information:   Police Administrative Services Manager Sue Autry joined the Colorado Springs Police Department in late 2007 as Human Resources Manager and was promoted to Division Manager  in 2009.  Autry oversees the Management Services Division, which includes Human Resources, Budget/Fiscal Services, CSPD Information Services and Records and Identification. She also serves as the department’s liaison to the Police Foundation of Colorado Springs, and oversees the CAPS Volunteer Program.

Manager Autry completed her Doctorate of Jurisprudence at Southern Methodist University and is licensed in Texas where she practiced employment law with Haynes and Boone law firm. She also completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in History at Georgia State University. Her experience includes management in both public and private sector, including banking, investment banking, partnership in an executive search firm, and CEO of a footwear manufacturing company following the disability of the company’s founder. Ms. Autry is a graduate of the Police Executive Research Forum’s Senior Management Institute for Police and the Center for Creative Leadership’s Developing Strategic Leaders.  She has also served on non-profit boards to benefit the community.
