The City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division (CDD) opened the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding applications today. The CDD anticipates making approximately $500,000 available for CDBG Public Services projects and $200,000 in ESG grant funds available for eligible projects within the City of Colorado Springs.
Public Services funds generally support service delivery costs for organizations serving low- to moderate-income communities. ESG funds help homeless service providers deliver services to families and individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
The minimum request amount is $25,000. The application period will close on March 27 at 11:59pm MST. Nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations and public agencies are invited to apply, provided they meet federal eligibility requirements. Applicants must register online with Neighborly Software to prepare and apply.
CDD staff will also host a virtual information sessions on Feb. 15 and 18. The City recommends at least one representative from each applicant organization attend the presentation. For more information visit coloradosprings.gov/community-development.
